The wall that started it.
After a decade in lighting and renewables sales — always limited to whatever catalogue the employer carried — Cal Grant kept hitting the same wall: he knew the better solution existed in the market, but he couldn't sell it. He started PMA in 2016 to fix exactly that, working as an independent agent across the major brands. The early years were consulting and audit-led; the supplier accounts were earned over time by proving credibility in the industry. PMA now works directly with most of the major brands in the South African lighting market.

Cal's background is in industrial design, not sales — which is why the conversation tends to start with the application, not the product. We compare on technical merit, we supply what fits the project, and we stay in the picture after the sale. We're small, independent, and bootstrapped from day one — and we intend to stay independent, because it's the whole point.
